About Tennis courts
Located at 5 Baylor Cir, White Plains, NY 10605, Tennis courts operates as a tennis court serving White Plains in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Traffic in White Plains peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Solid courts, although they only have one coat of Decoturf paint and little to no cushioning, so they are very hard on your feet and knees. But there is a wall to hit against, the nets have center straps, and there are good windscreens, so it's a decent place to get some hitting in. Recommended.

10 tennis courts at White Plains High School, open to public on weekends and outside weekday school hours 8am-5pm. Closed when student tennis teams have matches (even if not all courts are occupied). Also has a practice wall for 3 users. Have been playing tennis here for over 10 yrs - we are so lucky to have free courts nearby! Most other towns don’t have their fields and courts open for the public like this.
